Decision Summary

 
On 20 October 2025, the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (the Authority) decided to cancel the registration of Registered Migration Agent (RMA), Mr Dakshkumar Dipakkumar Patel (MARN 2418384).

The Agent must not be registered for a period of five years from the date of the decision.

The Authority is satisfied that:
• The RMA’s application for migration agent registration was known by him to be false or misleading.
• The RMA is not a person of integrity, or is otherwise not a fit and proper person to give immigration assistance.
• The RMA breached his obligations under section 15 of the Migration (Migration Agents Code of Conduct) Regulations 2021 (the Code).

The Authority found that the RMA:
• Provided immigration assistance while not registered as a migration agent and lodged applications under another RMA’s MARN.
• Knowingly made a false declaration in his migration agent registration application to become an RMA.
• Engaged in conduct in breach of his obligations under the Code.
• Is not a person of integrity or otherwise a fit and proper person to provide immigration assistance as per paragraph 303(1)(f) of the Act.

On 23 October 2025 the Agent lodged an application for review of the Authority's decision with the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
