Decision Summary

 
On 18 May 2026, the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (the Authority) decided to cancel the registration of Registered Migration Agent (RMA), Mr Sean Shrestha (MARN 1069378), following an investigation into the Agent’s conduct. The Agent must not be registered for a period of five years from the date of this decision.

The Authority was satisfied that the Agent breached his obligations under sections 13(1),13(2),15, 17, 18(1)(b) and 20(1) of the Code.
The Authority found that the Agent:
• Failed to act professionally, ethically and with integrity and in doing so damaged the reputation of the migration advice industry
• Failed to act in accordance with the law, specifically section 312A of the Act, by failing to declare to the Department the immigration assistance he provided to clients.
• Provided false or misleading information to the Authority in his response to the Authority’s request for information.

The Authority was also satisfied that the Agent was not a person of integrity, or otherwise not a fit and proper person to give immigration assistance.
