Decision Summary

 
On 5 August 2026, the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (the Authority) decided to bar the Former Agent, Ms Mandeep Kaur (MARN: 1462851), from being registered as a migration agent for a period of five (5) years following an investigation into a complaint regarding the Former Agent’s conduct.

The Authority found that the Former Agent breached her obligations under sections 13 (1), 13(2), 17, 18(1) and 20 of the Code, which came into effect on 1 March 2022. The Authority also found that the Former Agent breached her obligations under clauses 2.1(a), 2.9 and 2.23 of the former Code, as in force prior to 1 March 2022.

The Authority found that the Former Agent:

• Failed in her duty to comply with the migration law by failing to declare that she provided immigration assistance.
• Failed in her duty to not make false or misleading statements.
• Failed in her duty not to undermine the migration law, for the purpose of obtaining a benefit.
• Failed in her general duty to act professionally, ethically, honestly and with integrity.
• Engaged in conduct that was reasonably likely to damage the reputation of migration agents or the migration advice industry.
