Finding a registered migration agent

To find the details of a registered migration agent:

From the home page, follow the Search for a registered agent link.

The Search for Registered Migration Agents screen displays.

Enter information about the agent you would like to find in the search fields. Do not complete every search field. Only complete the fields relevant to your search.

The table below describes the search fields. Refugee applicants may be able to seek assistance from voluntary organisations.

Search field Description
Agents given name If you are searching for the details of a specific agent, enter their first name in this field.
TIP: If you are not sure how to correctly spell the agent’s name you can try entering only the first few letters of their Given name.

TIP: If you are not sure how to correctly spell the agent’s name you can try entering only the first few letters only of their Family name.
MARN When a person becomes a registered migration agent, they are issued a unique Migration Agent Registration Number; known as a MARN. If you know the agent’s MARN, enter it in this field.
TIP: If you are using a MARN to search, there is no need to complete any other search fields.
Business Name If you are searching for an agent that works for a specific company or business, enter the name in this field.
Business Location (Country, State, Suburb or Postcode) If you want to find all agents practicing in a specific location, enter the Country, State, Suburb or postcode in this search field.
Voluntary Organisation only Help from voluntary organisations is not available to everyone- you are required to meet certain criteria to enable engaging the services of an agent working for a voluntary organization. Please refer to https://www.mara.gov.au/get-help-with-a-visa/help-from-registered-agents/types-of-registered-agents for further information.
If you select this option, the results will only show agents who work for a voluntary organization.

When you have completed the search fields that are useful to your search, select Search. The search results display.

If your agent does not appear in the search results this means that your preferred agent is not registered and is not able to provide immigration assistance in Australia.

Follow the Family Name link to see the agent’s details.
