You can lodge an application for ‘late’ repeat registration up to 36 months after your registration expires. Requirements for approval of a late repeat registration application are essentially the same as for standard repeat registration. However, you cannot provide immigration assistance until your application is approved.
If your registration expired more than 36 months ago, then you will need to lodge an ‘initial’ application for registration and meet all the associated requirements. This includes meeting the English language requirement and completing the prescribed course and passing the prescribed exam. Please note that if you hold the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in (Australian) Migration Law and Practice this qualification remains valid for registration purposes and you will not have to complete the qualification again. However, you will need to pass the Capstone assessment in the 12 month period before lodging your registration application.
