If you are a holder of a restricted Australian legal practising certificate (RLPC), the CLE you undertake to maintain your practising certificate is recognised as meeting CPD requirements for registration as a migration agent. To claim CPD points, you must ensure your current practising certification is listed in your qualifications before commencing your application. You can do this by selecting Update Qualification Details on the portal. If your practising certificate details are current, CPD points will automatically be attributed to your application.

If you do not update your qualifications before commencing your application, you can:

  • show you have completed the required CPD activities
  • complete the Exceptional Circumstances section of the application stating you have a current RLPC and noting the PC number.
