Lodging a complaint about your registered migration agent will not affect any visa application you may have lodged with the Department.

The OMARA considers all complaints about registered migration agents but can only act on a complaint if the registered migration agent has done something wrong. For example, if they:

  • have not done what they agreed to do in your contract
  • are in breach of the Code of Conduct for registered migration agents

Before you make a complaint, try to resolve the issue with your registered migration agent directly. Often registered migration agents address issues when they become aware of them.

If you cannot resolve your issue, you can read about what you should do on this website.  From the home page, select Complain about agents.

If you think a person giving immigration assistance is not registered, tell the Department by filling in a Border Watch form.

If you think a registered migration agent has participated in a criminal matter, tell the police and fill in a Border Watch form
